Cookie policy
Which cookies this site uses, what each one is for, and how you can accept them, reject them or change your mind later.
In compliance with article 22.2 of Spain’s Ley 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE, the Spanish e-commerce act), we explain which cookies this website uses, what each one is for and how you can accept them, reject them or change your mind later. This page replaces the two cookie policies the previous site had (one for the LSSI and another “for the EU”): from now on there is a single one, with the same information for every visitor, wherever they come from.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. It is not a program and it does not run code: it only stores information (for example, whether you already accepted the use of cookies) so the site remembers it on your next visit. We distinguish between first-party cookies, which we install directly, and third-party cookies, installed by external services we use on the site, such as Google.
2. How we manage your consent
On your first visit to psicodiversa.es a cookie banner appears. Until you choose something, or until you expressly accept, the analytics and ad-measurement cookies stay switched off: we use Google’s consent system (Consent Mode v2) with every category set to “denied” by default. Only the ones you mark as accepted are activated, and you can change that choice whenever you like (section 5).
Technical or necessary cookies (section 3) do not depend on your consent because the rules consider them essential for the site to work.

We do not use any cookie on this site to show you personalized ads on other pages or to build a profile of your interests (remarketing). We also do not cross-reference conversion measurement with your name, your email or your phone number (the Google feature called “enhanced conversions”): as a psychology center, we treat anything that could be linked to your health (article 9 of the GDPR) with that extra caution, and that includes how we measure ads. This site also does not use Google Tag Manager: the Google Analytics and Google Ads tags load directly (gtag.js), without the intermediate container the previous site had.
Google, Spotify and YouTube may process this data outside the European Economic Area, with the safeguards the GDPR requires; the full detail for each service is in its own privacy policy and, for what we process ourselves, in our privacy policy.
Besides cookies, this site uses your browser’s session storage for one thing only. If you arrive from an ad, the address you come in through carries campaign identifiers (Google’s “gclid” parameter and the ones starting with “utm_”) that indicate which ad you came from, not who you are. We keep them in session storage — a space belonging to the browser, ours and not a third party’s — so they are still available if you browse other pages before writing to us, and they travel with the form if you decide to send it: that is how we know which ads bring enquiries and which do not. They are not shared with anyone, they are not cross-referenced with your name or your phone number, and they are deleted as soon as you close the tab: nothing is kept between one visit and the next.
4. Embedded third-party content
The Association page includes the “En Modo Psi” podcast (Spotify) and a few individual episodes on YouTube. By default they do not load: you see a static thumbnail of the episode, and only if you click to play it does it connect to Spotify’s or YouTube’s server (in its extended privacy mode, youtube-nocookie.com). From that click onwards, those services may install their own cookies according to their own policies; we do not control them and are not responsible for them.
The map showing how to find us works differently: on the contact page and on the emotional dependency page there is a Google Maps map that loads on its own, without you having to click anything, when you scroll down to it. It is that way on purpose, so you can see where the practice is without having to ask. From the moment it loads, Google may install its own cookies according to its policy, just as in the previous case: we do not control them and are not responsible for them. If you would rather not load it, the full address is written out in text right beside it, and the “Open the address in Google Maps” link only opens Google Maps if you click it.
5. How to accept, reject or change your choice
On your first visit you can accept or reject the analytics and advertising cookies from the banner. Technical cookies (section 3) do not appear as an option because they do not depend on your consent, and embedded third-party content (section 4) is not managed from the banner either: it is activated only if you click to play it, not by accepting or rejecting categories.

6. How to delete or block cookies from your browser
Besides the banner, you can manage cookies from your own browser’s settings: allow them, block them, or delete the ones already stored. Each browser does it differently; search for “cookies” in the options or the help of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge.
If you block all cookies, bear in mind that some parts of the site (such as remembering your own choice about this policy) may stop working properly.

8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change or if the applicable rules change. The version in force is always the one published on this page; if the change is significant, we will show it to you again the next time you visit.
